Frequently asked questions
Contact vehicle owners privately, get help in emergencies, and report issues like wrong parking—without putting your phone number on the windshield. Below is how Raabta makes that work.
The problem
When a vehicle is parked in public, there is often no good way for someone to reach the owner if something is wrong.
You could leave your number on a note—but that is tedious to change, hurts privacy, and invites spam and misuse.
Situations where contact matters
- Blocking an exit — e.g. parking in front of a home or shop.
- Traffic or safety — wrong parking affecting flow or visibility.
- Vehicle emergency — lights on, window open, leak, or other urgent issues.
The Raabta approach
Raabta is a privacy-focused QR tag: people scan your code to reach you about your vehicle without you publishing personal details on the glass.
Wrong parking · Emergency contact · Any vehicle issue → scan the QR
Key features
Contact the owner (core)
- Others can reach you while keeping your number private.
- Masked or relayed calls where supported—your number is not shown on the tag.
- Validated notifications to reduce spam.
Emergency & profile
- Add emergency contacts (e.g. up to two numbers) and insurance details where the app allows.
- Region-appropriate emergency numbers may be shown when available.
Logs & channels
- Businesses and communities can use tags for vehicle entry logs where that feature is offered.
- Updates may arrive via WhatsApp, SMS, in-app alerts, or callback options—per your settings and region.
How someone contacts you
- Scan the tag with any QR reader (camera app, Google Lens, etc.).
- Pick a reason from message templates, for example: lights on, no-parking zone, towing risk, child or pet inside, window open, or something wrong with the vehicle.
- Choose how to reach you—for example a private masked call or a message (WhatsApp/SMS) when available.
Anti-spam: Call or contact attempts may be limited (for example once per 30 minutes per scanner). Abuse may lead to blocks. Exact rules are enforced in the app and may change.

Why not just leave my phone number on the dashboard?
A visible number is easy to misuse, hard to update, and offers no spam protection. Raabta keeps your real number off the vehicle while still letting people reach you through controlled, validated channels.
Is Raabta secure and safe?
Yes. Raabta is designed with abuse prevention: rate limits on contact attempts, validation of notifications, and protected handling of account data. Always use the official app and official purchase channels.
Is this a one-time payment?
Tags are sold as a one-time purchase. Ongoing service for core features (relay, app access, emergency tools as described at purchase) is included without a subscription for standard use. Check product pages for current pricing and any optional add-ons.
Can I use two tags from a pack on different cars?
Yes. Each tag is unique. Use them on one vehicle (including a spare) or on different vehicles, with the same or different numbers as allowed in the app.
How do emergency numbers work?
Add up to two family or emergency numbers and insurance details in your profile where supported. The experience may also show local emergency services (ambulance, police) based on country and app version.
What about replacement and offline use?
Replacement policies depend on your purchase—check packaging or support for warranty windows. Some flows offer an offline tag or backup delivery (e.g. via WhatsApp) so scanning still works in limited offline scenarios. Details are in the app.
How do I activate a tag?
- Open the package and follow the instruction leaflet.
- Scan the tag with any QR reader.
- Complete verification (e.g. OTP to your phone) in the Raabta app.
- Done—your tag is linked to your account.
Where Raabta is available
